From Autumn 2018 to Spring 2019 I have worked in Communications for a national sight loss charity, TPT as Communications for the Sight Loss Councils managing communications, including websites and social media. For 8 years previously I worked for Sports Interactive on Football Manager and Football Manager Touch as QA Lead. In my spare time, I’m also on Scope’s research panel working towards a better society for people with disabilities. I’m passionate about games, community engagement and advocacy.
The world of games and passion for the dev environment has not left me completely. In 2015, I took up coding as a hobby in my spare time, completing a night course in C Programming at City University London. I have been learning continuously since then through Udemy courses and self-learning. Since 2016 I have led on the “Wrestling Nexus” project at WrestlingNexus.com, a modding community website & Discord server for an independent Pro Wrestling Simulator game, Total Extreme Wrestling developed by Grey Dog Software. The Wrestling Nexus project taught me many basics in website management and languages such as PHP, HTML and SQL. My coding projects are QT C++ based and stored in Git repositories. It’s given me drive and determination to continue to learn and I’m excited at the prospect at developing something in the future.
I’m also available for freelance work for website management and social media management and strategy. If you are interested in learning more, please contact me.
